Meet Sassy! She is 9 years old and weighs around 5 lbs. Sassy has a hyperkeratotosis ear mass which is causing her to have ear pain and itchiness. Sassy is going to need ear ablation surgery. We are waiting to hear when this will be. 
 

Update 5/25

Sassy went for another recheck and allergy shot at Tufts. Her eye is still not blinking and at this point they don’t feel it will come back. She will need to continue artificial tears in her eye for life. They feel at this point the itching, scratching and any oozing is from allergies as she is also scratching her other ear. Therefore she will most likely also be on allergy shots. She also will be getting a dental in the near future.  All this still doesn’t stop Sassy from being the Diva that she is!

Update 4/25
Sassy is still getting monthly allergy shots to help with the itching while the ear heals. There is still some “gunk” in the ear. She has been going monthly to Tufts to monitor the healing process and for her allergy shot.  We have been told it can be a long process and we are hoping it clears up.  If not Sassy will need another surgery.
